Program of the ‚Puppy Switzerland 2025‘ Election

You heard us barking! On February 8, 2025 the ‚Puppy Switzerland‘ election will take place in Zurich.
Now the time has come, and we can present our program to you:

Friday February 7, 2025
5 pm – 10 pm Woofing in our old dog kennel, the ‚Cranberry Bar‘ (Metzgergasse 3, 8001 Zurich).
Get to know the guests and enjoy a drink or two. Join us for a cozy evening!
Free entry. Gear is welcome as long as everything necessary is covered. There is no obligation to register, but you can reserve a ticket for Friday evening or for the Full Weekend

Saturday February 8, 2025
The ‚Puppy Switzerland‘ election begins either
12:15 pm at the group meeting point at Zurich main station
or
12:30 pm at ‚CAP‘ at Kornhausstrasse 18 in 8006 Zurich
You can expect the candidates, a small house bar, an ball pool and a cozy, colorful hustle and bustle of pet players and like-minded people.
Join us for an exciting afternoon and get to know the candidates better ☺
Afterwards, we will take public transportation to the ‚Kweer Bar‘ (Spitalgasse 14, 8001 Zurich).
5:30 pm
Start of the ‚Puppy Switzerland‘ election. Our well-known drag Vanessa La Wash and Gonzo will lead you through the evening.
At the end there will be a loud barking ‚And the winner is…‘. But before that, there will be a surprise ☺
After the election we can still sit comfortably in the Kweer. However, the whole bar will be open to all guests again from 8 pm.
8:30 pm
For the hungry, there will be a dinner in the ‚Rheinfelder Bierhalle‘ (Niederdorfstrasse 76, 8001 Zurich) after the election. The evening will end there in a cozy atmosphere.

Candidate program for Saturday, 8 February 2025
The program for the candidates will be sent to them only. Candidates are not required to be present on Friday evening, but it would be desirable.

You’re a candidate?
You want to apply, cool!
Registration deadline is December 15, 2024!
What you need to do:

Fill in the application form on Google Forms.
You can fill it out in any Swiss national language or in English, even if the text is only in English. This makes it easier for us to provide only one universal form.

You will then receive a confirmation email from us containing the ‚Rules and Regulations‘ for the election and the ‚Awareness Charter‘ as an attachment.

Sign both and send them back to us as a scan/PDF.

Et voilà! Now you are officially in the running for the title of ‚Puppy Switzerland 2025‘.
Terms and conditions of participation:

You are at least 18 years old, regardless of your gender.
-
You speak at least one Swiss national language.
-
You have at least a basic knowledge of English.
-
You must have been a resident of Switzerland for at least one year at the time of application.
-
You have your own Puppy or Petplay mask/hood.
-
You do not hold any other comparable or similar title in the puppy play or petplay scene in Switzerland or abroad.
Please also note the following:

Former holders of the title ‚Puppy Switzerland‘ who have held the title for a full term or more are not eligible for re-election.

The Board reserves the right to check all nominations in detail, to ask questions in case of ambiguity, to request further documents and, in extreme cases, to reject nominations after internal discussion within the Board. A negative decision by the Board must be taken by a majority of votes cast and reasons must be given for the decision. The decision of the Board is final and may not be appealed.
Important notices:
The ‚Rules and Regulations‚ and the ‚Awareness Charter‚ are designed to create the fairest possible conditions for everyone, but also to protect our community. If you have any questions about anything in these two documents, please feel free to contact us.
Our judging panel is partly made up of people from the English-speaking community, so some of the interviewing of candidates and some of the voting will take place in English. If you are not sure you can do this, please let us know. We’re sure we can find someone to help you translate.
The event officially starts on Friday evening, but the candidates‘ program ONLY takes place on Saturday. So please come to the election on Saturday well rested. We are aware that it will be a long day for you – but this is the only way we can organize an event that is affordable for all visitors and participants without the need for an (expensive) ‚doggy bed‘ in Zurich.

Who are we?
Portus He’s the glue that holds it all together, barking with wild enthusiasm and incorporating loads of fun gimmicks (or is it just cookies?). Let him take the lead and see what surprises he has in store! He keeps an eye on all the leashes and brings them together.
Gonzo Our adorable, chatty puppy is not only brimming with fantastic ideas but also has the courage to implement them. He’s also a whiz at counting, all the way up to a full cookie pack, which is why we trust him with our cookie jar.
Fyvel He is the ultimate chaos-buster for Herrchen and Portus! He’s got a knack for texts and brings a unique blend of calmness and playfulness to the team, sparking creative ideas. Whenever help is needed, Fyvel and Sister are always there to lend a hand!
Herrchen When he should be keeping us all on a leash, he is far too chaotic for that and then ties us together instead. He’s our creative genius on ‚pupstagram‘, crafting texts of all kinds and helps us making magic happen.
